Erkenntnisse / Observations

Below a quick overview of things worth sharing about NZ & TAS:

- If you go to the movies in NZ, they will be showing instructions on how to behave in case of an earthquake during the film.

- in addition to the fact that they drive on the wrong side of the road, Australians don't know how to use the indicator in roundabouts.

- I learned a new English-Lesson: The vegetable we know as "Peperoni" is called "capsicum" - they call the spicy salami "Peperoni"... I had to learn the hard way, when I ordered a Pizza without Peperoni but with Spicy Salami instead - the waitress looked a bit confused...

- If you see a car with lights on during the day, the driver is a tourist. Locals tend to turn it on when its dark only.

- Indicators and windshield wiper are mixed up - takes some time to get used to this...

- there are 4 digit PINs on credit cards - I only realised after 3 unsuccessful attemps...

- You can buy wheelchairs and shower-chairs at Aldi in Melbourne...
